Hair Space is the hair design studio of award winning hairdresser Alana Johansson. Originally from Sydney Alana relocated to Newcastle several years ago. Alana had previously worked in Sydney and Europe.

Lisa Shoesmith has recently joined Alana to compliment the skills and services provided by Hair Space. Lisa has comprehensive experience in the hair & beauty industry and has worked both in Australia and overseas.

Hair Space provides the customer with a unique hairdressing experience based on personalised service in a relaxed environment.  Our Italian designed cutting chairs are the most comfortable we could find. The wash lounge was also chosen to provide maximum comfort and is electrically operated to ensure ease in reclining. The wash basin can be moved forward and backward as well as angled up and down. The wash lounge also offers the luxury of an air massage function for those who like to completely relax during their shampoo.

Hair Space uses Revlon Professional colours,  MOP (Modern Organic Products) and Kevin Murphy styling and hair care products  to provide the best possible line of natural hair products made with organic ingredients when possible. We understand the importance you place on your hair and treat it with the care and attention it deserves.

Leah Westling has returned to Hair Space.
 
Many of you will already know Leah as she previously worked with me at Hair Space in 2006 and we worked together before that at Picasso's at the Junction.  For those who have not met Leah before, she is a very talented Hairdresser and an intelligent and personable young woman who I am sure you will all feel comfortable with in the familiar Hair Space environment.
 
Leah will commence work at Hair Space on Tuesday 29 January 2008.
Leah will be working Monday, Tuesday & Friday each week & appointments are now available and already filling!
 
Leah's employment will be ongoing and she will become part of the Hair Space Team along with Lisa Shoesmith & myself.
 
Once Lisa & I return to work we will be working slightly reduced hours due to the responsibilities of parenting.  The addition of Leah to our team helps ensure that everyone should still be able to book a suitable appointment without any trouble at all.
 
I am very excited to have Leah working with us & her return couldn't have come at a better time.
